During our final day in Rothenburg, we mainly just relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere of the medieval city. We shopped, walked around the city on the old city wall, had a nice dessert and tea in the afternoon, and ended the day with a good dinner, and one last walk around the city. I really could have spent much more time in Rothenburg walking the many trails around the city that go out more in the wooded areas around Rothenburg. I would ask for better weather than we recieved, but you get what you get! I really would like to visit Rothenburg again, as the town just is truly different than most towns you will visit in Europe, as its really truly unchanged since the medieval times. This can mainly be blamed on the thirty years war, and the black plague. Even-though, it is amazing well kept, and well preserved, but had to be somewhat rebuilt after WWII because of the bombing.
Unfortunately, this is the last entry for the trip. It’s now the last day of our time here in Germany. I really enjoyed my time in Germany. Vacations are never long enough, but this has to rank up there as probably one of my favorite experiences in my life. I truly enjoy the European culture and experience. Maybe someday, I will be able to live in Europe for an extended time (maybe a few years), to truly be immersed in the culture. I hope you have enjoyed the commentary and pictures as much as I had taking the pictures, writing the commentary, and spending time there with Sarah, Rich, and Ev.
